About Richard

I am a performer and vocal coach originally from Cape Town, South Africa. Straight out of high school, I began my professional career touring Asia and New Zealand with The Sound of Music.

Since graduating from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Technical Theatre Management, I have worked as a performer, director, stage manager, lighting designer, and vocal coach.

I was formerly a lead singer at Shout Music Company, performing at weddings and corporate events across South Africa, and I am currently a member of the jazz and pop duo Tea For Two.

Most recently, I worked as a vocal captain and production vocalist for Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines, and starred as Princeton and Rod in Metro Theatre's Avenue Q.

My teaching approach centres on experimentation, building strong technique, and growing confidence in every performer.
